I would suggest installing Joomla in a test environment and testing the behavior as Core Joomla! - Do NOT install Purity IV template as it contains the T4 framework as well. This way, you could narrow down where the issue is (where the issue is in core Joomla or in T4 framework, or Purity IV template) and report it to the appropriate party.
